1. Read verses 8-12. How did his neighbours respond to the healing of the blind man? How did he testify to them to Jesus’ grace of healing? 2. Read verses 13-17. Why did they bring to the Pharisees the man who had been blind? How did he say to them when he was asked how he had received the sight? What were the Pharisees’ divided opinions about Jesus? What did the say about Jesus when threatened? 3. Read verses 18-23. Why did the Jews sent for the man’s parents? What did they ask and how did the parents answer? How did the author comment about their answering such a way? 4. Read verses 24-34. When they summoned the former blind man a second time, what did they say to him? How did the man reply? What did they ask again? How did he answer? What was his remarkable realization he dared to speak to the Pharisees? What was the outcome of his testifying to the grace of Jesus to the end? 5. Read verses 35-41. At this time, how did Jesus help him? What did Jesus’ such help result in? What was Jesus’ purpose of coming into this world and what did Jesus say to the Pharisees? What does it mean?
