1.  According to v.1, what does the beginning refer to?  What is in the beginning?  What is revealed about the nature of the Word?  (v.1-4a)

2.  What can we learn about the Word's relationship with the world/man?  (v.3,4-5, v10-11)

3.  Refer to v. 6-7.  Who is John that these verses spoke about?  What is his relationship to the Light and his life's purpose concerning it?  (also see v.15)  Who is the Light?

4.  What is the world's attitude toward the Light?  What is promised to those who have a different attitude toward Him?  What sort of response is required to be meritting of such a promise?  v.12  What is the difference between children of natural descent and being born of God?

5.  Refer v.14-18.  What else is said about the Word?  Who is this Word?  In becoming flesh, what revelation took place?
