FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS

by   01/15/2015

Question

1. What difference does it make to know that we have so many witnesses, compared with not knowing it? Why did the author use the expression, “…we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses” (1a)? 2. In verse 1b, how can we throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles? What kind of race does the author talk about and why? In this race what is important? 3. Read verse 2. What does the author say of Jesus? Why is it important to fix our eyes on this Jesus? How can we do so? In verse 3, why should we consider him? 4. Practically what should we do? (4) How should we think of the Lord’s discipline? (5-6) What should be our attitude toward hardship in life? (7) Why does God discipline us? (8-11) How should those who accept God’s discipline live? (12)
